Saturday, May 25, 7-10 PM: Ben Bochner Song Fest and Remembrance
Ben Bochner, a most well-loved singer-songwriter in Eugene and Austin, left a treasure trove of great songs when he died suddenly in 2018 at the age of 62. Though two of his songs (Comin’ True and Hold On Strong) were published in the songbook Rise Up Singing, this vast body of inspiring work remains largely unknown outside of those communities he frequented in the Pacific Northwest. Since his death, a group of Ben’s closest friends have come together every year in private gatherings and public performances to keep his songs alive. Ben was a master at writing sing-along choruses, and he loved nothing better than singing them with groups of people.
Folks are encouraged to bring small trays of finger food.
