This is a story about family secrets.  “Life is stranger than fiction”, my mother told me this.  But her lips were sealed.  We lived with “secrets from another time” that weighed on us all until, I was 40 years-old and visiting my dying father—when he asked me a question that changed the life I knew.  Slowly, I discovered that even before a crack lets light in, secrets seep-- into dreams, curious events, strange behaviors, old letters, a 100-year-old diary, discovered photos, intuition, and innocent possessions.

Julia’s Story is about her search for the secrets that enveloped her family of origin—eventually awakening her to a clearer understanding of how the secrets formed her and, ultimately, released her from their grip.
