About Laura Golden
Singer-songwriter Laura Golden first picked up a guitar at age 10, and guided by a friend and an abundance of musical influences, discovered the magic of playing and writing songs. Gradually, this magic allowed her to transform life stories into finely crafted acoustic artwork for voice and guitar. It took some time to break through the shell of shyness, but finally, in 1999, she found her voice and means of expression in a way that has allowed her to share her work with others.
Laura's music is not easy to categorize. The stylistic mood serves the story at hand, whether it be playful, incisive, philosophical, compassionate, contemplative, humorous, or haunting. Laura's songs have received praise for originality, craftsmanship, and impact. She says, ”Writing songs gives me a way to notice, explore, grieve, laugh about, and honor life. And love. And the dark side. And the delight. Writing has become an act of gratitude.”
About Emma Rose Lynn
Emma Rose Lynn’s soulful songs draw from the heart of the imaginal realm — her music is an alchemical process that will take you on a journey through the depths of grief and sorrow to the heights of forgiveness and joy. With influences from folk, jazz, gospel, and choral music, some songs tell stories of a more beautiful world yet unrealized, others are pure emotional expression; still others are caught from dreams and capture the essence of mythic storytelling through song.
In addition to playing with the Eugene symphony for over 30 years, Rick Carter has played with many different ensembles from jazz to folk to rock and fusion on electric and acoustic basses.
Since moving to Eugene in 1998, John Polese has been a frequent performer on keyboard, trumpet, and accordion. His experience has encompassed music styles ranging from Argentine tango to Zydeco, and 15 years as a dance department musician at the University of Oregon.
