Saturday, December 3, 2-4 PM: Book Signing and Meet and Greet with Local Authors Melissa Hart and Jeff Geiger
Melissa Hart—Oregon author, journalist & public speaker devoted to sharing stories that entertain, educate, and inspire readers. She is passionate about teaching writers at any age and stage of their career to give voice to their own stories.
When Melissa moved to Oregon 21 years ago, she found herself mesmerized by the natural world. She’s written about mulching native saplings on a creekbank in the pouring rain; described learning to train owls for educational presentations at a raptor rehabilitation center and tent-camping on the deck of an Alaska Marine Highway ferry; reported on regenerative travel outfitters devoted to crafting volunteer vacations to give back to local communities, and on how a Little Free Library becomes a conduit for empathy. Melissa’s newest book is “Daisy Woodworm Changes the World.” https://www.melissahart.com
J.C. Geiger (jcgeiger.com) survived an earthquake on the Mouth of Hell volcano in Nicaragua, learned to drive stick shift on a bookmobile, and once ate the beating heart of a snake. He also writes fiction. Geiger's first novel, WILDMAN (Disney-Hyperion) was named a Best YA Book of the Year by Amazon and Bank Street. He is a GrandSLAM storytelling champion with The Moth, and his most recent novel, THE GREAT BIG ONE (Little, Brown) was selected as a finalist for an Oregon Book Award. https://jcgeiger.com
We will also have a selection of their other books available for purchase and signing.
