Thursday, October 3, 4PM: Reading and Booksigning by Carol Schlanger, author of “Hippie Woman Wild: A Memoir of Life & Love on an Oegon Commune.” Carol (formerly of Deadwood), expelled from Yale during the Vietnam protests, followed the man she loved to an abandonned, off-the-grid 160 acre homestead in Oregon. A commune followed. This is a love story that occurred in an explosive, mind-altering era.
