Saturday, January 5, 5 PM: Author Event, featuring Garrick Beck and his book “True Stories: Tales from the Generation of a New World Culture.”  Part memoir, part storytelling, this book takes us on a rollicksome ride through a generation of experience, from the Beatnik 50s through the passions and protests of the 60s, and onward into environmental, cultural and political movements which today are thriving around the world.  The Oregon Country Faire, Rainbow Gatherings, the Vortex Festival,and the intimacies of the West Coast communes are a few of the local events Beck has chronicled.
