Saturday, February 3, 5 PM: Author Reading, Slide Show and Discussion around the book “Across the Shaman River: John Muir, the Tlingit Stronghold and the Opening of the North,” by Daniel Lee Henry. Daniel is an instructor at LCC and founder of the Alaska Native Oratory Society. His book reveals how Muir’s famous canoe journey changed the course of history and had profound consequences for the region’s Native Americans.
