Friday, December 7, 7:30 PM: Singer/Songwriter Kathryn Claire. With her violin and voice at the center of her music, Kathryn weaves stories and melodies rooted in her classical and traditional music backgrounds while infusing each song with a palpable energy. Her musicality and joy on stage are infectious.
Kathryn was the first musician ever to play on the Tsunami Stage, likely in late '98, maybe early '99. At the time she was a student at South; wandered into the Bookstore one day wearing "Dylan" boots, with a guitar over her shoulder.
"Can I play up there," she asked.
Dave and I looked at each other.
"Sure."
She absolutely blew our minds!
Over time she has moved through many exceptional musical incarnations, many times packing the building with good people come to hear the perfection of song.
Been almost 5 years since last she came through.
Looking so forward to seeing her again!
